SOG Knives & Multitools Australia
SOG has been designing purpose-built knives and tools since 1986, grounded in a philosophy of real-world utility — nothing decorative, nothing wasted. At Outback Edge we stock the SOG PowerPint and SOG PowerLitre: two of the most practical compact multitools on the market, built for everyday carry, camping, and outdoor work.
SOG PowerPint — Compact Everyday Carry
The PowerPint is SOG's pocket-sized multitool: 82mm closed, light enough to forget it's there until you need it. It packs 18 tools into a tight, refined body — needle-nose pliers with compound leverage, serrated and straight-edge blades, scissors, screwdrivers, can opener, bottle opener, file, awl, and a magnetic bit holder. SOG's compound leverage system applies more force at the plier tips than a conventional hinge design, which makes a real difference when working with wire or hardware in the field.

SOG PowerLitre — More Hand, More Capability
The PowerLitre is the step up in the SOG Power series — a more substantial grip and a slightly larger frame for tasks that demand more control on the pliers or a steadier hold on the blade. It carries the same 5Cr15MoV stainless construction and compound leverage system, with a bit more size to work with on longer trips or harder jobs. If the PowerPint is your shirt-pocket daily carry, the PowerLitre is what you reach for on a full camping trip or a day of serious outdoor work.

PowerPint or PowerLitre — Which One?
If you carry a multitool daily and want minimum bulk, the PowerPint is the pick. At 82mm closed it disappears into a jeans pocket and the 18-tool layout covers the vast majority of everyday and camping tasks without complaint.
If your multitool lives in a pack, a belt pouch, or a vehicle, the PowerLitre gives you a more comfortable grip and better leverage for $31.50 more. For longer camping trips, 4WD touring, or regular work use, the step up is worth it.
Built for Australian Conditions
Both models use 5Cr15MoV stainless steel — a practical, corrosion-resistant alloy that holds a working edge and shrugs off the humidity and saltwater exposure common in coastal Australian use. SOG's compound leverage mechanism gives you noticeably more grip force without fighting the spring tension, which matters when you're working with heavy wire, bent hardware, or stubborn fasteners in the field.
